Rated 2 out of 5 by from Missed Opportunity This simply falls short of expectations. The highest temperature is not quite high enough to sauté properly. When I tried the rice function it sent clouds of steam into the kitchen for so long before the promised timer countdown began that I was convinced it would burn - it didn't but the rice was very dry. There is a timer but, absurdly, the slow cooking time cannot be reduced from 8 hours, and there's no condensation tray so it's messy. I won't be leaving this unattended. Very disappointing.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Looks good but DO NOT BUY The Russell Hobbs multi -cooker does look good , in theory it has 11 good cooking options but it does in no way live up to its promise. Bought first one on Saturday took it home it did not cook as it should have , replaced on Sunday again I took it home tried it , it again did not work . Instead of being a slow cooker it was boiling everything . I tried rice in both the first and the replacement it just boiled and boiled . I tried to make porridge , well it turned oats into a grey slush .

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great product but poor manual instruction that come with this are very poor. I am going to have to work it out by trial an error. The non stick pan is great. I have found a 1 hour casserole mode and a 8hour slow cook mode but struggle to make it do anything else. I work 12-13 hour days so a 8 hour function not good for me. compact device but holds a lot and no sticking on as with my old slow cooker. 5 litre capacity seems to be adequate and cooks well right through the food.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looking good but if you like porridge look elsewhe Quite good with steaming vegetables, also corn came out nice. Rice was overcooked, same with porridge but no wander as absolute minimum this machine will take to cook rice or porridge is 1 hour! I only need 15 minutes to make porridge using ordinary pot. Today before work I tried again to make porridge and it boiled away with still 28 minutes to complete! Just imagine cleaning this slush out of the filter on the lid. I will be taking it back, I dont have the patience BTW - manual is very laconic

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Multi Cooker Great item, very useful for whom want to cook in a easy way. Very easy to clean too,the only thing that was missing is a manual with more explanation of how to cook each recipe,it comes with a manual but the manual is very poor,it doesn't explain really much.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Poor manual incoherent controls I speak as I find and this item is not what you'd call intuitive. The controls are not clear and when you read the manual it is poor especially when it comes to "general cooking". It could teach better the basic modes of the machine so we could work out for ourselves how to best cook food we put in. Used mine twice on cook and boil. The stew I made ended up stuck to the bottom. . There are kitchen aids and there are gadgets. For me at least, this falls into the latter. Buy a halogen instead
