Not only are air fryers perfect for cooking tasty yet healthy meals, they are also convenient, quick and ultimately save a great deal of time and money when it comes to your energy bills.
As they are so versatile, it is important to know how to use an air fryer in order to get the most out of it and truly benefit from everything it has to offer. In this handy guide, we’re going to take you through the basics of using an air fryer.
The biggest advantage of an air fryer is its ability to make food crispy, with little to no oil. However, with so many people investing in the latest kitchen gadget, it has become a staple and there are so many functions and cooking hacks that can be performed in one.
With our very own Satisfry range, versatility is key – which is why we have several different sizes in the range, as well as the Air and Grill Multi-cooker which offers even more cooking functions.
So, with all that being said – how do you actually use an air fryer?
1. Don’t overcrowd the air fryer
In order to make sure food gets as crispy as possible, and is evenly cooked, it’s best not to overcrowd the basket. It’s important for food to be in a single layer, and not stacked as this can prevent food from cooking properly.
2. No need to pre-heat
Some air fryers do require pre-heating, however, our Satisfry range produce instant heat therefore don’t require any pre-heating. You can switch the air fryer on for a few minutes before cooking, but it isn’t necessary.
3. Choose the right temperature
Generally, you should lower the temperature of your air fryer by 20-25°C than the recommended oven temperature to get the best results. The Satisfry range offers adjustable temperature control so you can be sure that your food will be perfectly cooked at the right temperature.
4. Make sure to shake
Half-way through the cooking cycle it is beneficial to shake or flip certain foods such as chips, or small vegetables. This is because it promotes more even cooking and browning. For meat, flip the pieces over around half way through as you would in a pan or cooking in the oven.
