So let’s take a look in more detail...
Ninja AF100UK vs Russell Hobbs Essentials Small Air Fryer - Pricing
At the time of writing (September 2024) our 3.5 litre Essentials Air Fryer is half the price of the Ninja AF100UK (though the RRP is 3 times the price).
So we can say with confidence that you can save money by opting for our product here.
The Ninja AF100UK is slightly bigger and slightly more powerful
If wattage matters to you, then you’ll have noticed that the AF100UK has a slightly higher wattage than our Essentials 3.5 litre (1550w for Ninja and 1350w for us). It’s also slightly bigger. The Ninja Air Fryer in this comparison has 300ml additional capacity on the 3.5 litres of our small Essentials Air Fryer, which leaves room for only a little more chips in the basket.
Both of these are a great size for a one or two person household though, without a doubt.
Russell Hobbs is the lighter weight product
Where we like to think we come out on top is with our lightweight design, which sees our 3.5 litre Essentials Air Fryer come in at a total weight of just 3.55kg, over a kilo and a half lighter than the AF100UK’s 5.2kg, which makes moving it around and putting it away again in the kitchen an absolute breeze.
Can you reheat in the Russell Hobbs Essentials 3.5l?
Yes, you can.
We’ve mentioned that the Ninja AF100UK has a reheat mode. But that’s not to say you can’t reheat in the Russell Hobbs Essentials 3.5l airfryer. You can indeed. Generally, we suggest adjusting your temperature and cooking time down when reheating vs cooking. But you can very much reheat your food in this airfryer.
Other features
We think the products are largely neck and neck in many other areas, making ours a really solid alternative to the Ninja AF100UK. Each has similar accessories in the box and a similar warranty. And although our Essentials Air Fryer doesn’t have a named “reheating,” mode it certainly can be used to reheat food.
Which one wins?
Well, that’s really for you to decide. If the dehydrate function, specifically named reheat function and 300ml additional capacity float your boat enough to pay more for the AF100UK, well, we’ll bid your farewell for now and hope to see you back here soon.
But for an efficient, light weight small air fryer at least half of the price of the AF100UK, we think ours is a brilliant low cost alternative.
