Introduction
Here's one of our fun Easter recipes to make with the kids.

Ingredients
  • 200gButter, softened
  • 200gCaster Sugar
  • 1/2 tspVanilla paste
  • 1Large free-range egg
  • 400gPlain flour
  • yellow, white, black and orangeColoured fondant icing
Method
  • Step 11. Using the whisk attachment, cream together the butter, sugar and vanilla paste until well mixed and it just starts to be creamy. Be careful not to over mix 2. Whisk in the egg until combined.
  • Step 23. Change the whisk for the dough hook. Gently mix in the flour until a dough starts to form. Tip out onto your work surface and finish combining the dough, again making sure not to over mix. Wrap in cling film and refrigerate for 1 hour. 4. Pre heat your oven to 170°C fan. Line your baking trays with baking paper.
  • Step 35. Place the dough on a lightly floured work surface and roll out until approx. 3-4 mm thick. Cut out using a cutter, either round or oval. 6. Lay on baking trays and bake for 10-15 minutes until they just start to go golden brown.
  • Step 47. Once cooked remove from the oven and leave to completely cool before decorating. 8. Decorate using the coloured fondant icing.
