White Loaf

Do you love freshly baked bread? Try this simple recipe for a traditional white loaf

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp. Golden syrup
  • 1 tbsp. Melted butter
  • 320ml Warm Milk
  • 1 sachet Yeast
  • 500g Strong White flour
  • 1 tsp. Salt

Method

  1. In a bowl, place the flour and salt and mix well
  2. Add the yeast sachet and add the melted butter and golden syrup
  3. Finally add the warm milk and knead into a ball
  4. Add a little extra flour if the mix is very sticky
  5. Cover and leave in a warm place for 10 minutes
  6. Take out and knead again well
  7. Place back in the bowl, cover  and leave again for 10 minutes
  8. Then place the bread in your Russell Hobbs Multi cooker and select the bread programme
  9. Check at 2.30 hours. Turn the bread over and cook on the other side for the last 30 minutes – this will help to give the top of the loaf a little colour and a crunch.
