Sausage and Bean Hot Pot

Sausage and Bean Hot Pot

This flavoursome one pot is easy to make and can feed the whole family - the kids will love it!

Ingredients
  • 30g vegetable oil
  • 12 good quality English pork sausages
  • 6 rashers smoked streaky bacon
  • 2 white onions
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 3g smoked paprika
  • 1 400g tin chopped tomatoes
  • 300ml chicken stock
  • 30g tomato puree
  • 15ml Worcestershire sauce
  • 20g Muscovado sugar
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 4 sprigs thyme
  • 100ml red wine
  • 1 400g tin butter beans
  • Salt and ground white pepper to taste

Method

Serves 8-10

  1. Select the steam function, add the oil to the bowl, close the lid and allow to heat. After 4 -5 minutes brown the sausages in 3 batches, leave to drain and cool on paper. Press the cancel button.

  2. Finely dice the onions and garlic and add to the pot. Cut the bacon into approximately 2cm pieces and add to the pot. Cut each sausage into 4 pieces and add to the pot. Add all other ingredients to the pot and season. Press the stew function.

Serve with mash and peas.
