This smoky BBQ sauce will bring a taste of the deep south the any dish. Perfect for BBQ's and utterly moreish!
Makes: approx. 500ml
1. Peel the onions and garlic and chop in the mini chopper.
2. In a pan heat the oil, cook the onions and garlic with no colour, until well cooked and very soft, add all other ingredients, bring to the boil and simmer for 20-30 minutes, until thickened.
3. Leave to cool slightly and carefully blend in a jug blender until well blended and smooth.
4. Store in sterilised bottles or jars and keep in the fridge.
