Tagliatelle alla Bolognese

Make fresh tagliatelle alla bolognese from scratch using the Creations Kitchen Machine from Russell Hobbs. Our recipe for this classic Italian dish is easy to follow, using just one versatile kitchen device to prepare the entire meal!

  • 100g of carrots
  • 100g of celery
  • 100g of onions
  • 1kg of pork
  • 500g of pancetta
  • 50g of tomato puree
  • 1kg of tomato sauce
  • 4 eggs
  • 300g flour

Method (Serves 4)

  1. Using a Russell Hobbs Kitchen Machine, prepare the carrots, celery and onions for your sauce using the shredder attachment
  2. Mince the pork and pancetta using the meat grinder attachment
  3. Add the shredded vegetables to a lightly oiled pan and cook until they are soft. Then add the minced pork and pancetta and season to taste
  4. Once the mince is browned add the tomato puree and sauce. Leave to simmer for 15 minutes
  5. Make the pasta dough using the dough hook attachment to mix 300g flour, 1 egg and three more egg yolks
  6. Mix until a soft dough is formed
  7. Using the tagliatelle pasta maker attachment, add the dough to the tube in small amounts
  8. Cook the pasta in boiling water for 2 minutes and drain before serving
  9. Add a sprinkling of Parmesan cheese and serve
